Buried Treasure Part 5

A long lost LP has re-surfaced. The magnificent "To the Shores of Lake Placid" (Zoo Records 1982). The brilliant "When I Dream" by The Teardrop Explodes was a schoolboy favourite and I was chuffed to bits to find this forgotten video. I yearned for that night-shirt / fighter pilot look!

I'm flagging!

Irene Fawkes - London Transport 1928
It's been a long hard week - mostly good, some excellent and some bad. I was certainly glad to feel the coolness of these ancient stone flags beneath my aching bare feet. They helped me get back on track, re-connect and remind me what it is that I hold dear.

And nearer to the river's trembling edge there grew broad flag flowers, purple prankt with white, And starry river buds among the sedge, and floating waterlilies, broad and bright.

Next stop - the river!

We are the children of the sun

An absolutely stunning performance at The Roundhouse, Chalk Farm last night. I've waited sixteen years to see Dead Can Dance live and was spellbound to see them promote their latest album Anastasis.

Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard still have the ability to haunt and thrill with their magnificent musicianship - a wonderful evening. Lets hope I don't have to wait another sixteen years to see them again.
