We didn't mean to go to sea

I have to admit to being a bit of an Arthur Ransome fan. Rod and Line (Cape 1929) is a classic in angling literature, but it's his Swallows and Amazons stories that float my boat.

I am enjoying re-reading them on these dark and dingy winter evenings. Check out these amazing new covers by Posti Pietari on the Vintage Classics editions - worth buying for the lovely new covers alone. Updated in such a fine way, absolutely stunning!

Oooh, those are outstanding covers!Something to keep in mind for my son's Birthday in April.I think he'll enjoy them very much.

He found some Grantsby in his Christmas stocking this year, thanks to you!

Happy New Year, Dickie! Hope it's filled with good health and fish.

Dickie,

Where are you? I think you need to go fishing. Still catching pike but the water is clear, most fish in the 9lb - 10lb category.. We need a good flood surging through the drains and rivers to gather the fish.

All the best,

John
